THE Mabalacat police have led a skills enhancement seminar in the town as one way of involving the community in the ongoing anti-criminality campaign.
Municipal Police Chief Jovencio Flores said the town officials and barangay leaders expressed support to the local police’s campaign against all forms of lawlessness.
A seminar on Peacekeeping Skills Enhancement was recently conducted among barangay leaders, which are considered as front liners in the crime prevention program.
Flores said organizing, equipping, and mobilizing the police force multipliers like the barangay authorities will bridge the gap on the unfavorable police to civilian ratio.
The ideal ratio of police officers vis-ŕ-vis civilian is one to 1,000, it was learned.
Mayor Marino Morales lauded the Mabalacat police for initiating the peacekeeping seminar. He also expressed full support for the campaign of the local police against crimes and illegal drugs.
“It’s good that our barangay leaders and Bantay Bayan are trained because they are the first to respond to cases and incidents,” Flores said.
He thanked the support of the local government and the Liga ng mga Barangay headed by Barangay Bical chairman Rogelio Yumul. (RGN)
