CLARK FREEPORT -- A pioneer locator here has forged an agreement with a health services firm for the establishment of a US$1-million high-tech medical facility inside the Freeport.
The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) said that Berthaphil Industrial Park and Ardi Health Services, Inc. (AHSI) signed a sublease agreement for the establishment of a medical park that will house medical facilities for Clark employees.
AHSI will put up Ambulatory Care Services that boasts of four centers - Dialysis, General Services, Dental, and Eye Center.
"The centers will have 10 dialysis machines while the entire facility will be manned by at least 20 specialists," said Dr. Cenon Alfonso, president and chief executive officer of AHSI.
Alfonso added that AHSI will establish the centers in a 2,000-lsquare meter area inside the Berthaphil III business park.
The AHSI official signed the agreement with Berthaphil general manager Elizabeth Castro, which was witnessed by CDC president Benigno Ricafort and Berthaphil representative Peter Herman.
Also present during the signing were Ardi physicians Ernesto Isada, Rosario Isada, Felicitas Lector, Noel Lacsamana and Raymond Mallari and Engineers Danilo Ferrer and Perry Bautista.
Earlier this month, the CDC and Berthaphil signed a US$1-million lease agreement in New York City that will pave the way for the development of a 58-hectare area into a suppliers' park for Texas Instruments (TI) - one of the leading microchip manufacturer in the world.
Herman said Berthaphil has already guaranteed 12 multinational firms, suppliers, and business partners of TI to locate here.
Suppliers are expected to infuse US$40 million worth of investments and US$20 million in their export activities. More than 2,000 jobs will be generated once the park is operational.
