SWAK sa lahat: location at design. Swak din sa budget, mga amenities at accessible pa. 'Di lang mga tirahan, may pang negosyo pa. These are but the fine features of the Fiesta communities being bandied about by Hausland Development Corporation.
Fiesta stands for Family, Investment, Environment, Shelter, Technology, Affordability. From the standpoint of Hausland, these aspects are being observed and realized in order to help the ordinary workers get their housing units and free them from monthly rental obligations.
In Manibaug Paralaya, Porac, a well-organized, socialized and low-cost housing project was recently inaugurated by Vice President Noli de Castro and the finished units were given to contented beneficiaries.
For the prospective buyers' info, Fiesta Communities Porac is about 4 kilometers away from the Angeles City proper and about 5 kilometers from the Clark Freeport Zone.
All types and configurations of motor vehicles can access the site.
A firsthand look at this project will reveal an elegantly- and colorfully-designed entrance gate, complemented by landscaped gardens, concrete roads and perimeter fence, a park, and a playground. For family and social gatherings, there is a pavilion, and, as expected of a family-oriented and friendly community project, recreational facilities are in place.
A cursory look at the brochure will show affordable investment schemes (read: monthly amortizations) and guides to avail of the financing packages. There are basic and improved row houses, single attached (bare) and basic units, as well as the improved ones.
To see is to appreciate these fine structures and out there to assist buyers are Patrick John and Philip Tan and the accommodating Katrina Gail Tan, the brainy daughter of Willie Tan.
So, you may start visiting the Fiesta communities' sites and then choose the unit you desire.

Sizzling'Ber' month. Just when we expect relatively cool weather, we have the reverse and worse. Despite the rains brought by previous tropical depressions and sporadic low-pressure areas, the weather remains too hot to handle especially during the afternoons.
I submit that global warming is indeed upon us and there's no telling a solution to the predicament is forthcoming. Whew!

Running feud. The word war between Mabalacat Water District chairman Deng Pangilinan and Mabalacat LGU GSO chief Jun Magbalot can only undermine the gains (literally and imaginatively) thus far achieved by the Morales administration.
As in other miscommunications, with media adding fuel thereto, both stand to lose credibility and in the case of Magbalot, brickbats can even skew Morales' neck, wash dirty linen in public and may end up in disaster for all concerned.
I heard that, perhaps out of delicadeza, Jun Magbalot tendered his resignation, which was accepted by the mayor but the former reportedly had a change of heart and had his farewell letter withdrawn and his resignation reconsidered and so, Jun is back in the mainstream and happy days are here again for him and his clique.
Who said money is the root of all evil? Could I say it is the main cause of the running feud between two of Morales' fair-haired boys, favorites and confidantes?

Nasty word wars. At the provincial level, there is not much to expect and be happy about on matters of governance as the beleaguered priest-governor is entangled in a web of animosities and uncertainties, caused by former supporters, alleged disgruntled constituents and nemeses from the Provincial Board.
If this tug-of-war continues, delivery of basic services and quality thereof as well as the targets and objectives for 2008 will be most (and severely) affected. Who says elected government officials are mature and sensible enough to handle the serious task of governance? In the case of the provincial officials, I dare say no one surpasses the benchmark of responsible maturity yet.
