GUAGUA -- Barely a month since adopting the 100-Day Tactical Plan designed to provide efficient service to consumers and to improve its overall performance, the Pampanga Electric Cooperative II (Pelco II) has reduced "hitches" on its system losses by 3.26 percent.
Pelco II general manager Amador Guevarra said the initial results of the program's implementation showed a huge turnaround for the cooperative, adding that the reduction in system losses is attributed to the renewed dedication and honesty among employees and cooperation from consumer-members.
He said Pelco II's system loss showed a "dramatic decline" from 19.40 percent to 16.14 percent after only 20 days of the program's implementation.
Pelco II's employees are constantly given a Reflection Question Information Messages, which infuse values and ethics to reinvigorate their sense of dedication toward their jobs, said Guevarra.
As a result, he said Employees' Level of Commitment rose to 100 percent, with tardiness rate down to zero.
Pelco II has also initiated the creation of the Association of Accredited Barangay Electricians as part of its Social Responsibility Program.
Guevarra said the success of Pelco II also requires the cooperation of its member-consumers, being the foundation of the cooperative.
Pelco II launched the 100-Day Tactical Program in response to the need "to further improve the delivery of service of the cooperative, by instilling cultural values within its ranks and establish a strong mutual partnership with the Member-consumers." (Chris Navarro)
