An additional fund of P670 million was also earmarked by the council for the AIP for the year 2009.

Mayor Francis “Blueboy” Nepomuceno said the City Government now has the capability to implement various projects in the city.

Nepomuceno thanked the city’s Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Office headed by Myrvi Apostol Fabia for its assistance in the conduct of the seminar.

He also thanked City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) headed by Angel Tolentino.

City Administrator Irineo Alvaro facilitated the seminar which was also attended by Liga ng mga Barangay president Robin Nepomuceno.

The city’s AIP for 2009 includes land acquisition and construction of a sports complex with a 4,000-seating capacity.

The city will also procure and install traffic lights and signages along major thoroughfares within the city.

The Engineering Office will also rehabilitate the old MacArthur Highway, according to Nepomuceno.

A portion of the fund will also be used for the phase 3 improvement of the Pampang Public Market.
