MABALACAT -- One person was killed and three others were injured in a vehicular accident that transpired along the national highway in Barangay San Francisco here Wednesday night.
Police identified the fatality as Mark Kevin del Mundo, 18, resident of Barangay San Francisco in this town.
The injured persons were identified as Marivic de Leon, 17; Joel Angeles, 19; and Glorioso Quioc.
Acting Mabalacat chief of police Chief Inspector Jovencio Flores said del Mundo was walking along the highway when hit by a car driven by Rolando Tolentino Sagad, 42, of Barangay Santa Ines, also in this town.
According to Flores, Sagad was drunk at the time of the accident.
The two bystanders, de Leon and Angeles, were also hit by the car which turned turtle after hitting del Mundo.
Del Mundo was rushed to the Saint Rafael Medical Center for treatment but expired after few minutes, Flores said.
Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide, Physical Injuries and Damage to Properties were filed against Sagad who is now detained at the Mabalacat Police Station.
