ANGELES CITY --- The city police has arrested the lone suspect in the slaying of a Special Education (Sped) teacher in a public elementary school here.
Ferdie Garcia Manaloto, 27, of Purok 4 Jesus Street, Barangay Pulungbulu, this city, was charged with murder before the Office of the City Prosecutor.
29-year-old Roel Salta Gania, a teacher of a Sped class at the Angeles City Elementary School in Barangay Pulungbulu here, was stabbed to death on October 16.
Gania's body was dumped in Barangay Cucut here by three persons riding a black Mitsubishi L300 van around 7:30 p.m. of said date.
After dumping the victim's body, the suspects fled towards the city proper on board the said vehicle.
Gania sustained several stab wounds on different parts of his body, according to police.
Manaloto and Gania allegedly argued about money at the back of the Angeles Electric Corporation building at the Nepo quadrangle in Barangay Cutcut before the incident took place.
Police said Manaloto admitted that he stabbed the victim.
The suspect is now detained at the Angeles City District Jail.
