Lance Gokongwei, president and CEO of Cebu Pacific, led his team in sending off the maiden flights.

CEB's first international flight from Clark was bound for Hong Kong and kicked off 7:15 a.m. with an Airbus A319 aircraft. Cebu Paficic started its daily flights with Clark-Hong Kong and Clark-Singapore routes while Clark-Bangkok flies four times weekly.

Gokongwei assures that its new international service from Clark will increase the accessibility of Central and Northern Luzon to foreign tourists and investors, providing new opportunities for the region's travel and tourism industry. Aside from the signature low fares they offer, accessibility will encourage many first time flyers to travel and avail of best travel packages they offer teamed with their safe, reliable and high quality service to their patrons.

The celebrated launch started with a ceremonial ribbon cutting by Ms. Lorelei Fajardo, presidential assistant for Central Luzon; Victor Jose Luciano, president and CEO of DMIA, Director Ronnie Tiotuico, Department of Tourism regional director for Central Luzon; Marino "Boking" Morales, Mabalacat mayor; Pampanga Representative Carmelo "Tarzan" Lazatin; and Lance Gokongwei, president and CEO of Cebu Pacific.

Seen also gracing the special occasion were DMIA operations manager Bienvenido Manga, Rene Diaz, Sonny Lopez and staff of DMIA, CDC and Cebu Pacific.
