Saturday, December 06, 2008 SM to unveil holiday surprises tonight By Marge Paraz Santos
SM CITY Clark, a two-year-old shopping mall that has become synonymous with one-stop shopping excitement, is set to run-down its long list of holiday treats for everyone.
It will unveil the Grand Gingerbread House Saturday, 6 p.m. at the Mall Atrium, as the highlight of the evening.
The gingerbread house will be a towering wonder, 15 feet high and 22 feet wide. It is made of wood and paint finish and will be placed on top of a two-feet high and 36-feet wide stage resembling a chocolate cake.
The magical experience is completed by the adornment of six feet tall candy canes, two-feet in diameter lollipops, two feet tall gingerbread dolls, and other large-sized candies, biscuits, cookies, and chocolates that will surely sweeten up the holidays.
The unveiling is just a part of the many holiday activities prepared by the mall for the kids and the kids at heart.
Simultaneous with the "sweet visual entertainment," the program will also present the magical voices of the Betis Children's Choir and Stringed Orchestra, and the moves of the Little Steps Dance Academy. Surely a must see show.
A charity event dubbed as "Dress-up a Gingerbread Doll" will be launched Saturday night. There will also be a ceremonial turnover of donation to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office.
For more "eye-catching" surprise, be there at The Meeting Place and be awed with the Magical Disney Pyromusical set for the special night.
The cake cum stage will also be the venue for the Magical Voices of Christmas featuring local chorales every 6 p.m. on December 10-12, 15-17, 22-25 & 27 and the Meet & Greet Santa Claus on December 24 & 25 from 1-4 p.m.
Bring your families and friends to SM City Clark this December and experience another fun-filled Christmas celebration!
