CLARK FREEPORT -- The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and a Korea-based firm signed recently a lease agreement for the establishment of a manufacturing and assembly plant for medical equipment here.

Ricafort said the P&C International Co. Ltd has invested P72-million for the establishment of a manufacturing/assembly facility for medical equipment including but not limited to plastic and cosmetic surgery.

He added that equipment to be manufactured or assembled inside the Clark Freeport would include multi-station (autologus fat transplantation), RF surgical unit system NDF, RF muscle volume reduction NTF, and surgical diamond knife.

Ricafort said the company, whose facility will rise in an 8,720-square meter area along J.P. Laurel Avenue and Bayanihan Street here, will employ some 45 employees on its first year of operation.

P&C International is a Korean company that was established in 2003. It began as an importer of medical devices and subsequently obtained a patent for its product.

In 2007, Ricafort said the company began research on biotechnology and medical devices and started in the manufacture of multi-station for autologus fat transplantation.

P&C International has 10 branches in Korea with a head office in Seoul.
