BACOLOR -- The National Electrification Administration (NEA) has commended the Pampanga Electric Cooperative (Pelco) 2 here for maintaining a 100-percent collection efficiency during the culmination of the power utility's "One Hundred Day Tactical Plan" at the Mary the Queen College here.
NEA administrator Edita Bueno commended the cooperative for sustaining and instituting measures to maintain its collection efficiency which resulted in the prompt decrease in its systems loss and a remarkable improvement in its over-all performance.
Systems loss is electricity that is lost due to service related factors.
"If power utilities would actually concentrate on desired goals these could be achieved and translated to better services to end consumers," Bueno said.
She added that because of the collection and systems lost efficiency of the power utility, Pelco-2 can easily meet its expenses and may opt to cascade the development in terms of improved service and additional payment benefits.
Pelco-2 launched the One Hundred Day Tactical Plan in response to the need to improve service by encouraging its employees to embrace a "Cultural Revolution" to renew their sense of dedication and loyalty toward the growth of the cooperative.
Bueno also said Pelco-2 can achieve its targets and accomplish the underlying objective of providing the best service to its consumers.
Pelco-2 general manager Amador Guevarra, for his part, said that discipline towards work was the major key in stirring Pelco-2 to achieve its initial goals.
Pelco-2 is considered as one of the biggest power utilities in the province. It is the main electric supplier for 35 percent of the province.
Guevarra said that the achievements of Pelco-2's One Hundred Day Tactical Plan would be easily felt by its electric consumers in the coming months in terms of better services and improvements. (IOF)
