Cattle rustling emerges anew
SAN CARLOS -- The city police have been establishing the entry-exit of animal thieves here following the resurgence of cattle rustling.
City police intelligence operatives are making the move so that they could prevent the stealing of cattle in the city or could readily trace the criminal elements once there is a missing animal.
This developed after Amado Posadas, 61, of Barangay Calomboyan reported to the police the other day that his two cows were missing.
Saying that when he learned that his cows were nowhere at 6 a.m., Posadas opined that the thieves got his cows between 2 to 3 a.m.
Last week, there were already allegedly some victims of cattle rustling.
Meanwhile, a tricycle driver in Calasiao town was arrested for frustrated murder by virtue of an alias warrant.
The municipal police operatives apprehended was Vicente Liwag of Barangay Banaoag the other day.
Liwag was lodged in jail after he failed to pay P120, 000 bail bond recommended by the provincial prosecutor's office for his temporary liberty. FPM
