Prov'l PNP reviewing accomplishments of police chiefs
THE Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) is still going over the accomplishment reports submitted by the different police stations in the province.
This was learned from provincial police director Senior Supt. Mario Sandiego who said the 15-day accomplishment report would determine who among the police chiefs are performing well or not.
Sandiego issued the directive upon his assumption of office on June 19 this year.
"After the performance audit, I will talk with my staff who among the police chiefs will remain in their post and who will be transferred to other duties to assure performance efficiency and effectiveness of the local police," he said.
Expressing doubt over the report of five municipal police stations, Sandiego said he would sought the assistance of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in knowing the veracity of their report.
All police chiefs had been directed to name at least top three drug personalities in the area of jurisdiction.
But police chiefs in the towns of Agno, Anda, Burgos, Labrador and Mapandan reported negative as to illegal drug activities are concerned in their jurisdiction.
"Once the PDEA and CIDG find there are illegal drug activities in their towns, much so if there would be an arrest of drug pushers in their areas, I will have them explained," Sandiego said.
"It could be negative because he (drug pusher) is his friend," he added.
Sandiego further disclosed that the police stations of Manaoag and San Manuel had not yet submitted their accomplishment report. FPM
