Female trader loses P100T to 'salisi'
MANGALDAN -- A female owner of a business establishment at Rizal Avenue lost more or less P100,000 cash to a man who posed as a customer the other day.
Josefina Mangonon, 50, a resident of Barangay Embarcadero reported to the municipal police that around 9 a.m., a man entered her establishment.
Posing as a customer, the suspect ordered a stereo component and a coffeemaker, she said.
When Mangonon purportedly got the items ordered by the man and when she returned, the customer was no longer there and so was her handbag containing the cash money and a 3610 cellular phone.
The victim told the police that the man was about 35 years old and 5'7" in height.
In Dagupan City, a woman who just applied as domestic helper at a residence in Guilig Street is now the subject of police manhunt.
This developed after Marciano Padlan, 60, reported to the city police that Rose Soriano, resident of Babasit, Manaoag stole his son's 9mm caliber pistol and two magazines full of ammunition.
Padlan said Soriano applied as housemaid morning last Monday.
As the Padlans needed a house helper, he accepted the woman.
But around 110 a.m., Padlan noticed that Soriano was no longer at the house.
Gripped by suspicion, the man scoured the house and found that the gun was missing. FPM
