City cops still without leads on CSI robbery

DAGUPAN City police are still facing a blank wall as to the identities of the perpetrators of the Wednesday night robbery of a shop inside the CSI Market Square.

Supt. Noli G. Taliņo said that although there were no witnesses to the incident, police crime laboratory personnel have already lifted latent prints at the RTW section of the establishment.

Twenty-four watches worth more than P100,000 were carted away from the display cabinet of the shop.

Shop employee Agnes Nugera discovered the ransacking when she opened shop around 8 a.m. Thursday.

Taliņo believed the robbers who entered the establishment belong to the same group behind other criminal activities in the city. However, he did not rule out the possibility that the crime was an inside job.

He said the robbers entered the watch shop by destroying the ceiling of a comfort room at the northeast side of the CSI mall, which was also used as their exit point.

Recovered at the crime scene were a screw and the cover of a pin light. APM
