Barangay chief hit on head with beer bottle
MALASIQUI -- A barangay captain of this town was whisked to the hospital last Saturday after a drunk man smashed a beer bottle at the victim inside a videoke bar here.
Tambac Barangay Councilman Leopoldo Castillo and Marciano de Vera, owner of the establishment, reported the matter to the police.
They told police investigators that Barangay Chairman Elpidio Ferrer of Tambac was inside the Anong Sarap Videoke along Diego Silang Street here at about 4:50 p.m. when Elpidio Tadeo, a resident of the area, whacked him with a beer bottle.
Ferrer was taken the Villaflor Hospital in Dagupan City while the suspect immediately fled after the incident.
The police immediately looked for Tadeo but failed to locate him. APM
