Delinquent gov't agencies in paying GSIS premiums bared
NINETEEN public agencies, including a local government unit (LGU), have been delinquent in remitting their employees' monthly premiums to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
GSIS Dagupan City branch manager Nieva Talon said the delinquent agencies as of last Nov. 10 are five water district offices, two offices of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), three offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), three public schools and a municipal government.
The local water district offices are in Alcala, Binalonan, Lingayen, Urbiztondo and Tayug while the two NIA offices are in Rosales and San Fabian.
Moreover, the three delinquent DPWH offices are in Lingayen, Rosales and Sta. Barbara, which have not been paying the premiums of casual employees.
The educational institutions, on the other hand, are the Pangasinan State University in Sta. Maria town, the San Jacinto National High School and the Pangasinan National High School.
Included in the delinquent agencies are community environment and natural resources offices of the cities of Urdaneta and Dagupan as well as its provincial office in Dagupan.
The lone delinquent LGU is the Calasiao Municipal Government. FPM
