Friday, July 23, 2004 Pangasinan illegal drug cases drop by 50%
URDANETA -- Cases of illegal drugs in Pangasinan have decreased this year by more than 50 percent.
This is based on statistics gathered at the police crime laboratory here from Inspector Nolime de Castro, Senior Police Officer 4 Emeterio Macaraeg and Inspector Imelda Roveros.
They said from January this year up to date, there are only 128 cases that they had examined while last year for the same period, they already examined 263 cases.
"This is a good indication in the fight against the prohibited drugs in the province," said de Castro who also said it could due to the successive raids of drug laboratories in Metro Manila and adjacent areas.
Roveros expressed hope that the number of illegal drug cases in Pangasinan would continue to drop with the aggressive campaign against the illegal drugs. FPM
