LINGAYEN -- Police on Tuesday released a man who was arrested last week for alleged illegal possession of firearms and suspected as one of those who killed militant leader Jose Doton in San Nicolas, Pangasinan.

Police Provincial Director Alan Purisima said the city prosecutor of Urdaneta City ordered them to release Joel Flores, 28, of Barangay Domapot, Asingan, because the filing of illegal possession of firearms against the suspect was just an "ordinary filing."
