Feeding program for malnourished kids to be launched

DAGUPAN City Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez will launch Monday the feeding program for severely malnourished children sponsored by CSI Group of Companies (owned by their family).

About 30 severely malnourished children from Mayombo-Perez area will be the recipients and will be fed everyday for one month.

The program will be formally launched in Barangay Mayombo in the city.

The CSI has budgeted P100,000 for this project in cooperation with the City Nutrition Office.

Last week, the vice mayor launched the feeding program for malnourished children at the Bolosan Elementary School with 100 recipient children.

Fernandez said they are working with the PTCA of Bolosan Elementary School. The CSI donated oats, misua, macaroni and other ingredients to be fed every other day for one month.

Last July (Nutrition Month), the CSI conducted feeding program in all public elementary schools and selected barangays in the city.

Fernandez said it is her personally joy helping the children, and the feeding program is just one of the ways with which the family gives back to the people the success it gained.

Fernandez had also been helping the different daycare centers in the city. (LCMY/Sunnex)
