He identified those arrested as Carlos Pingol, Virgilio Buado, Rolly Rimando Genese and Joan Cauntoy.
The police also held for investigation Abraham Llamas and Amor Wata after the arrested persons identified them as their point men here.
At Perez Boulevard this city, Pingol and his cohorts went near one Ordinario Manalo, who had just come from Metrobank based in the area, and tried to forcibly let him board their vehicle.
Manalo resisted when he recognized Pingol as one of the men who tried to victimize her in November 2007.
The commotion caught the attention of a policeman, Christian Carvajal, who was on foot patrol in the area.
Borromeo said the suspects immediately boarded their vehicle (a white closed van bearing license plate TMN-909) and sped off when Carvajal accosted them. The suspects were later intercepted at Arellano Street.
He said certain Teresa Barando, a retired teacher from Barangay Bued, Calasiao, went to Dagupan Police Station and identified Pingol as one of the persons who victimized her last May 8, 2008. Allegedly, they stole from her P509,000 and US$991 cash.
He said more victims are expected to appear at the police station to identify if the arrested persons were the ones who victimized them.
