Friday, December 19, 2008 San Carlos is Prisaa overall champ
SAN CARLOS CITY -- Athletes from this city scored a back-to-back overall championship in the recent Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) meet.
Duplicating its overall standing in 2007, the San Carlos City Prisaa delegation brought home 82 gold, 45 silver, and 17 bronze medals.
The Prisaa Meet was held in San Fernando City, La Union.
Aside from the athletes, the San Carlos City delegation was composed of City Sports Coordinator and San Carlos College sports director Federico Lopez Jr., Atty. Arturo de Veyra (president of the San Carlos College and the Prisaa Metro San Carlos Chapter chairman Region I Prisaa vice president), Dr. Ma. Lilia Posadas Juan (Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation president), and VMUF sports director Marcelino Doņa.
San Carleņan female athletes garnered most of the gold medals in the various fields of competition.
The summary of medals won by the athletes was submitted to the City Information Office.
