Carpenter shot dead

A CARPENTER died while a painter suffered a gunshot wounds when three unidentified armed men shot at them late Saturday night without any provocation.

Maximo Faviliar, a carpenter died, while Alfredo Alvarez a painter was rushed to a hospital for a gunshot wound.

Initial investigation showed that the two were having a drinking spree in the house of a certain James West when the shooting happened.

During the drinking spree, the two were asked to buy more beer in a nearby store.

Witnesses told the police that they saw three men approach Faviliar and Alvarez from behind as they were returning from the store carrying the beer with them.

For no apparent reason the three men drew guns and fired at the two victims.

Police investigators found two empty caliber 45 shells and one empty shell of .9mm at crime scene.

The two victims were rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center for treatment of their wounds.

Faviliar suffered a gunshot wound in the head causing his death while Alvarez sustained a wound in the forehead and on his face. He is in critical condition.
