Fire destroys law office

FIRE of still undetermined origin destroyed the office of a lawyer at the second floor of the Blanco Building along Valderosa Street at about 3 p.m. Monday.

Destroyed was the law office of Atty. James Lao and Atty. Pedro Alfaro.

Police investigator Abdulgafur Maani said the fire destroyed office equipment and documents kept in the place.

The water used in putting off the fire also damaged the Titas RTW shop occupying ground floor.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Fire Officer II Jeffrey Lacay said the fire began from an overheated wall fan.

Lacay estimated the damage brought about by the fire at more or less P30,000. (Marites Espartero)
