PRESIDENT Arroyo is scheduled to plane in Thursday at 8 a.m. from General Santos City for the celebration of the 105th Independence Day celebration.
Mayor Maria Clara L. Lobregat confirmed the arrival of the President Thursday
An hour before the arrival of the President, a flag-raising ceremony will take place at Plaza Rizal in front of the old City Hall building led by Mayor Lobregat and Rep. Celso L. Lobregat.
However, the mayor is not sure of her participation in the flag-raising activity as she is scheduled also to meet President Arroyo at the Edwin Andrew Air Base at Sta. Maria, this city.
Lobregat said she has not met any of the visiting ambassadors yet who will attend the vin d'honneur. Sixty ambassadors will take a chartered Philippine Air Lines plane from Manila to Zamboanga city.
They will arrive at about 10 a.m. and proceed to the presidential yacht, BRP Ang Pangulo, for the traditional vin d' honneur. The President and the ambassadors will have lunch at the La Vista beach resort.
The President is also scheduled to address the people at the Tetuan coliseum in the afternoon.
