Men plan bomb attacks By Mei Garcing
THE Abu Sayyaf are reportedly in the city to look for bombing targets, military officials revealed Wednesday.
The revelation came after the arrest of Abu Sayyaf member Totonik Kayo alias Abu
Karam at the old public market in the city last May 31. He had a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court of Basilan, 9th Judicial Region of
Isabela.
Abu Karam is a member of the Isnilon Hapilon Group that was allegedly involved in kidnapping and murder of two Golden Harvest Plantation workers. He was also allegedly involved in the Bolobo Massacre at Lamitan, Basilan.
Two of the victims of the Golden Harvest Plantation kidnapping on June 11, 2001 identified Karam as one of those who killed their co-workers in the plantation.
Karam revealed that some of his companions are in Zamboanga City and are ;ooking for bombing targets. He is now in the Basilan Provincial Jail and is up for trial to be presided by Danilo Bucoy, acting presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court in Basilan.
