Police clueless on 38 salvage victims
By Letty M. Militante

THE Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) cannot identify the almost 40 victims of salvaging nor determine the motive of the executions, Chief Insp. Clarito Clemente of the police operation division said.

He added that victims' bodies are still waiting burial at the Villa Funeral Homes.

Clemente said that initial investigations conducted by the local police show that the killing of the victims could be drug-related and that the victims are wanted persons in the city and in other nearby provinces.

He said that the victims are being killed in an area and then later on dumped in some secluded places in the city. Some of the victims are also ex-convicts.

He also speculated that the victims could belong to syndicate involved in drugs, robbery and other crimes.
