MAYOR Celso Lobregat stressed the importance of following policy directions in the local administration for the next three years.
He said he has been meeting individual department heads, but it was only on Friday that Lobregat called all of the department heads for an "honest-to-goodness meeting" relative to their respective functions.
Lobregat vowed to pursue the continuity of the 17-point agenda of the past administration, which include the transformation Zamboanga City into a "progressive, peaceful, healthy, orderly, clean and genteel" city, while, at the same time, turning the CDCP area into a tourist and recreational park.
Mayor Lobregat said that all these gargantuan tasks can not be realized if the city does not have the financial resources it needs, and without the effort and cooperation of every department of the local government to deliver the basic services to the people of Zamboanga City.
