Basilan Schools Division welcomes new head
By Fharhana Abdurahim

BASILAN Schools Division is under a new leadership in the person of Dr. Abdusali M. Asaali, who assumed office after a turnover ceremony held earlier at the Datu Dizal Cultural Center, Lamitan.

He took the post from Dr. Omar B. Aranan who ran the office for nine years.

In his acceptance speech, Asaali pledged to the almost 1,700 office and school personnel of the division that his new administration shall see to it that salaries will not be delayed.

He also vowed to settle the back accounts of the teachers who have been complaining of unpaid Government Services Insurance System (GSIS) and Pag-IBIG Fund remittances. He, in return, asked the full support of the teachers of the division for the Division's undertakings.
