PEACE negotiations between Manila and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front ended in a deadlock over one of the most contentious issue in the talks -- the ancestral domain -- the MILF's demand for territory that will constitute a Muslim homeland in Mindanao.
The three-day talks in Malaysia ended Thursday and failed to resolve differences between the two sides. For the MILF, the ancestral domain is the single most important issue in the peace talks before it can reach a political settlement.

Armm fact-finding team sent to settle Sulu conflicts
A TEAM of investigators sent by the Office of the Governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao rules out the possibility of further violence between warring groups in Sulu once a fair and just resolution of the conflicts is given proper attention through dialogue.
