Mindanao peace coordinators share experiences on dialogue

COORDINATORS from the various Silsilah Forums in different parts of Mindanao recently came met in Zamboanga City to fulfill the avowed cycle of sharing their experiences for dialogue and peace.

Held at the House of Peace in Pitogo, Sinunuc, the meeting was attended by both Muslim and Christian coordinators as well as representatives of the core group members.

Among the Forum areas represented in the gathering were the Silsilah Forum - Pikit, North Cotabato; Silsilah Forum - Cagayan de Oro City; Silsilah Forum - Iligan City; Silsilah Forum - Midsayap; Silsilah Forum - Kidapawan; Silsilah Forum - Bukidnon; Silsilah Forum -Siasi, Sulu; Silsilah Forum - Davao City; and Silsilah Forum - Zamboanga Sibugay.

The gathering gave the various areas the opportunity to share with others relevant updates and accomplishments of their efforts geared toward dialogue and peace in their respective areas.

The Silsilah Forum Primer, for the second time around, was introduced to the group for further comments, evaluation and suggestions. The coordinators believed that proper consultation among the groups will help finalize the primer.

Module making was also part of their activity, which primarily focused on the Culture of Dialogue (COD) presentation and orientation. This is to equip the Forum coordinators and members with necessary tools for Culture of Dialogue (COD) advocacy.

The three-day coordinators' gathering ended with enriching experiences for forum forerunners on dialogue and peace. (CO)
