Manuel Leyson, chief of the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office-east (Cenro-east), said the target goal is to reforest a total of 21 hectares.
Of the total area, 12 hectares will be at the city's watershed while the nine will be for forest plantation and outside the watershed area, according to Leyson.
He said his office will enter into contract by the end of this month with one or two peoples' organization to undertake the project.
He said that they will immediately pay 15 percent of the contracted amount for mobilization so that actual planting of trees could start on or before the end of the year.
He said the project will also serve as source of income for the peoples' organization aside from expanding the forest cover of the city.
