Smart launches 1st mall-based Click Internet café

AS PART of its commitment to make high-speed broadband Internet access available throughout the country, leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) set up an Internet café, the Smart Click Internet and More in Valencia, Bukidnon in Mindanao.

The Bukidnon branch is the 22nd branch nationwide and is the first mall-based Click café, located at the 3rd level of NVM Mall.

Smart Click Internet cafés are either housed in a 40-foot container van or located in a commercial space. While the van and non-van packages offer the same services, the non-van package is applicable for entrepreneurs who already have an idle shop or establishment in a high-traffic area. The non-van package is also advisable if the community is not accessible in terms of shipping the van and if the franchisee does not have an empty lot where the van could be placed.

The cafés are equipped with 15 rentable top-of-the-line computers with up-to-date specifications and complete software licenses. They serve as one-stop digital shops in places with limited or no provisions for high-speed Internet and other related computer and desktop publishing services such as photo and document printing, gaming, among others. Smart Click is powered by Smart Bro, the wireless broadband service of Smart.

Valencia City is a 4th class city in the Province of Bukidnon with a population of 147,924 people in 28,425 households according to the 2000 Census. It is the fifth Smart Click branch in Mindanao.

Aside from being an Internet café, Smart Click can also act as an e-learning facility for students, government employees, and local entrepreneurs. Click franchisees can also turn the café into a call center by night, as Smart's partnership with application provider Five9, Inc. will easily turn the wireless net cafes into call centers.

Other unique and exclusive services are available at Smart Click are Magic Prints photo enhancement and printing services and Smart services such as Smart Padala and Smart E-Load. Smart Click customers can also purchase Electronic PINS (ePINS) for all the latest and popular online games through their partnership with Get Loaded.

For franchising opportunities, one may get in touch with the Public Access Group of Smart Communications at (02)511-2643 or *777 (toll free using and Smart cell phone). You may also send an email to smartclick@smart.com.ph. (Press release)
