By Bong Garcia

ZAMBOANGA City Police Office (ZCPO) Director Manuel Barcena said they have not yet established the identity of the gunmen behind the killing of a local market official.

Barcena was referring to the shooting to death of market superintendent Idris Abdulla along Tumaga road.

Two men riding tandem on a motorcycle shot and killed Abdulla who was driving his motorcycle on the way home with his wife, Chleofe, riding tandem in the evening of March 7.

Chleofe, although wounded, survived the attack.

Barcena admitted it was difficult to establish the identities of the gunmen since no witnesses are willing to testify in court.

He also said they have not yet established the real motive behind Abdullah's killing.

However, Barcena said they are inclined to believe that the motive was work-related.
