SECOND district Representative Erico Basilio Fabian is launching a new program aimed at generating employment and job opportunities for the constituents in his district.
The program is known as E.R.B.I.E., his nickname, which stands for Employment for Rural Barangay through Integrated Education.
The E.R.B.I.E. program will be launched on Thursday in Barangay Boalan, east of this city.
It is a well-planned program with strategies and mechanics that will be carried out in coordination with National Government agencies, local government units, industries and non-government organizations to create greater impact on the beneficiaries.
Fabian said the E.R.B.I.E. program would involve the provision of scholarship assistance in formal technical and vocational education as well as livelihood skills training interventions in the communities within bounds of available local resources, market and technologies.
The E.R.B.I.E. program will pursue a long term objective of producing new breed of skilled employable workers, farmers, fishermen and entrepreneurs capable of supporting and sustaining the industrial and economic activities in this city, according to Fabian.
Among the target beneficiaries are unemployed male, mothers, and out-of-school youths (OSYs).
