A 32-YEAR-old farmer was wounded while his wife, two children, and a cousin escaped unscathed in a gun attack in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the regional police reported Thursday.

Shot and wounded was Jonathan Sotto while unscathed were his wife Mylan, cousin Tito Danglin and his two children, who were not identified in the regional police report.

The report disclosed that Sotto, his family and cousin were on the way to Dansal village center when attacked by an unidentified gunman armed with 12-guage shotgun.

Sotto sustained multiple pellet wounds in the body and was admitted at the Margosatubig Regional Hospital for treatment.

The investigator of the case theorized that the motive of the attack stemmed from a land conflict involving Sotto and some farmers in the area.

Investigation continues to unmask the gunman, the regional police reported. (Bong Garcia)
