The slain laborer was identified as Maximo Asan, 39, a widower and a resident of Tan-awan village of the same town.

The police learned that Asan was allegedly killed by the group led by Inting Bacabis alias Commander Corduva, an MILF field command based in the village of Tan-awan.

Asan's remains were recovered with bullet wounds and were already in an advanced state of decomposition, according to the report.

The police are gathering evidence for the filing of appropriate charges in court against the perpetrators.
