Police search missing British businessman

A CHINESE auto-machine parts businessman has sought the assistance of the local police to locate his British business partner in Zamboanga City.

Fong Kwan Kong told Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) that David James Rowe failed to show-up when they were scheduled to meet Thursday evening in one of the local hotels.

Prior to Kong's filing of report, the police learned that Kong has entrusted P420,000 to Rowe to purchase auto-machine parts in Manila.

However, Kong told the police that since then he was not able to contact Rowe, and the latter had not informed him of his whereabouts.

Kong expressed apprehension that Rowe ran away with the money.

The Criminal Investigation Section of the local police is conducting a thorough investigation in a bid to locate Rowe. (Lordhan Cruz/BPG)
