ONE of two men riding tandem in a motorcycle staged an attack recently, killing one and injuring two others in Zamboanga del Sur province, the police reported.
The Zamboanga del Sur Police Office (ZSPO) reported that the incident took place around 8 p.m. Sunday along R.T. Lim Street, Balangasan District, Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur.
Killed was Lerico Saad. He was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at the Pagadian City Medical Center.
Injured were Marlon Briones, 30, and Aurillo Execlifado, 30, both residents of Purok Nangka, Tukuran District, Pagadian City.
The report said the victims were on their way home aboard a passenger motorcycle cab driven by Saad when the back rider of the motorcycle opened fire at them using a caliber .45 pistol.
The police learned that before the incident, the victims have engaged in heated arguments with unidentified people, believed to be the attackers, while at a videoke bar in Sto. District in downtown Pagadian City.
After the heated altercation, the victims decided to go home, but the suspects attacked them with a handgun, the police reported.
