Allaga: Bravo has no more places to hide
By Bong Garcia

LIEUTENANT General Nelson Allaga, chief of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom), said renegade Moro leader Abdulrahman Macapaar alias Commander Bravo and his men have no more place to hide.

Allaga issued the statement after the government troops overran on Wednesday a huge camp of Commander Bravo and his followers in the tri-boundaries of the towns of Piagapo and Madalum in Lanao del Sur and Munai municipality in Lanao del Norte.

Allaga said the camp dubbed as new Camp Bilal located along the ridges and slopes of Mount Gurain may have been put up to replace Camp Bilal that was earlier overran by government forces.

The intelligence-driven military operations confirmed the presence of Commander Bravo and his men at the new Camp Bilal along Mount Gurain, according to Allaga.

He said the fallen new Camp Bilal is surrounded by several satellite camps. It has a water tank, a mosque, tents and a fishpond.

He said it is just a matter of time before "we get commander Bravo" who led the attack of Lanao del Norte towns last August 18.

A soldier was killed while eight others were wounded when the troops captured the new Camp Bilal.

Allaga said the troops did not meet heavy resistance from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels, who fled to different directions eluding the advancing soldiers.

Allaga described the capture of the new Camp Bilal as a major progress in the ongoing law enforcement operation against perpetrators of the August 18 attacks in Lanao del Norte that resulted to the deaths of civilians and displacement of thousands of others.
