Village official slain
A VILLAGE official was shot and killed last week in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported.
The police said the incident took place in the village of Kauswagan in the town of Alicia.

The fatality was identified as Binicio Coles, 58, a village councilor of Kauswagan.
Coles died on the spot with multiple gunshot wounds, the police said.
The victim was on his way home aboard his vehicle when he was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman.
