Thursday, November 20, 2008 DTI sets franchising business opportunities confab
THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is conducting a one-day Franchising Business Opportunities forum for small and medium enterprises and other investors in Zamboanga city.
DTI Provincial Director Rolando Acuña said the forum scheduled on November 21 will be held in coordination with the Philippine Franchise Association and Philippine Exporters Association-Zamboanga City chapter.
Acuña said the forum aims to stimulate the promotion and development of business through franchising and intends to bring together buyers and sellers of the hottest money making franchises and business opportunities.
"It will focus on healthcare and wellness products which would greatly appeal to the export market," Acuña said.
He said that other areas of interests are food, beauty products and information technology.
He said a registration fee of P600 would be collected to help defray the cost for the kit, meals, snacks and other forum expenses.
A maximum of 50 participants would be accommodated on a first-come first-serve basis, according to Acuña. (Bong Garcia)
