SI MISAMIS Oriental Governor Oscar Moreno nanawagan ngadto kang Cagayan de Oro Mayor Vicente Emano nga gamiton ang 600-ektaryang pulikong luna sa Barangay Lumbia nga magsilbing permanenteng relokasyon sa mga biktima sa Bagyong Sendong.

Gibutyag sa gobernador nga tungod sa kaluag niini ug kadako dili lamang ang mga biktima sa Bagyong Sendong ang marelokar niini apan mga residente nga kinahanglan sab nga irelokar.

"If he won't work for this at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and somebody from the National Government offers me to take over, then I will do it. But I don't want to work on this because it is not under my jurisdiction," matud ni Moreno.

Gibutyag ni Moreno nga basi sa DENR, ang Integrated Social Forestry (ISF) sa 600-hectare land kasamtangan na nga na-expired og mahimo na nga mapuy-an ug magsilbing residential houses.

Samtang kung ang kagamhanan sa siyudad nagplano sa pagamit niini kinahanglan nga sundon ang sakto nga proseso.

"But the local government cannot expect DENR from recommending the use of that land for relocation site because it runs counter to its mandate, which is environmental protection. That initiative must come from somebody else," dugang niini.

Gibutyag ni Moreno nga isip usa ka "representative" sa mga biktima sa "Sendong" ang kagamhanan sa siyudad mohimo sa ilang inisyatiba sa maong 600-hectare land nga mahimong relocation site.

"What happened was that Dongkoy (Emano) lied that there was no available land during the visit of President Benigno Aquino last December 20. He wanted to deceive even the National Government. It's good that the President did not buy his plan, that's why the Calaanan resettlement area came out. In short, there are available land but he (Emano) just lied," dugang niini.

Samtang gikataw-an lamang ni Emano ang pamahayag ni Moreno nga didto sa Lumbia ang relocation site.

Gibutyag niini nga layo kaayo ang Lumbia nga relokasyon alang sa mga biktima.

"Layoan man gani ang mga biktima sa Calaanan, samot na siguro didto sa Lumbia" ni Emano sa usa ka interbyu sa radyo.

Giasoy usab ni Emano nga nanawag si Moreno sa opisina ni Bise Presidente Jejomar Binay aron ibalhin ang mga biktima sa Sendong sa Laguindingan.
 
"I was surprised when I learned about this because some even find it hard to accept the Calaanan relocation, how much more in Laguindingan. Public servants have become a laughing stock, all because of politics," ni Emano.
