Di ba Sun endorser ka dati? Smart ka na ngayon?

Nothing exactly just yet, I’m just here for a little dinner for Smart. Actually, Sun and Smart are under the same family now.

In-expect mo ba na tatagal ka ng ganito sa showbiz?

No, not at all. I only gave myself one year. Eight years in the business is a real blessing.

Paano mo napapanatili yung katawan mo?

Workout and healthier eating habit. I research on my food. I always check my daily intake by calorie counting. Like a slice of cake, my goodness, 800 calories! That’s more than half of my daily intake, so I avoid eating food like that.

Anong mga TV shows mo ngayon?

Umagang Kay Ganda (UKG) and ASAP 2012 sa ABS-CBN, then I have MYX and U-Gag sa Studio 23.

Paano mo mina-manage yung time mo?

Hindi naman ako gumagawa ng soap, yun kasi ang patayan talaga ng schedule. Right now yung gag show ko once a week, MYX also once a week, ang ASAP twice a week because we have a rehearsal before the Sunday show. Then UKG is live. With the schedule I have right now, kaya ko pang mag-workout, may time pa ako para kay Drew (Arellano), may time pa akong lumipad dito sa Cebu.

Speaking of Drew, how true na engaged na kayo?

Oh.. oh.. I don’t wanna answer. Secret! Our relationship has always been low profile.

So I don’t wanna bring it out and it worked for us for the past eight years. I’m not denying nor confirming. I’m kemboting (laughs), I’m kemboting for the next question.

Eight years in a relationship, kailan kayo magpapakasal?

Ang hirap sabihin, eh. I could say next year tapos hindi mangyayari. I could say five years from now, tapos 10 years pa pala.

What’s stopping you?

We’re not stopped by anything. We’re just enjoying things and going with the flow.

We’re just taking our time. Like what I always say from my past interviews that involved Drew, `it’s been a low, slow progressive 8 years’. My family is very conservative. There are many things Drew and I have not even done before as a couple that we only discovered three years ago.

Like what?

Doing things like watching movie, travelling, swimming, cooking together and… even intimacy. Hindi naman kami live-in. There are still things we haven’t done yet because we’re not married.

Like pre-marital sex?

Oh yes, definitely… definitely. Believe it or not, you might say it’s kalokohan for eight years, but we don’t engage in such practices.

Is Drew also like that?

I don’t know if he thinks the same way but I know he respects me. One thing I love about Drew is he’s very patient with me kasi nga he’s more mature. (Iya is 26 while Drew is 32.)

Sa isang katulad mo na lumaki sa abroad, it’s rare to find someone who’s as conservative as you. How did it turn out that way?

Through experiences that I learned from others. You don’t have to have a strict parents to understand the pros and cons.

Sa mga fans mo, what’s your advice for them to resist temptations?

Huwag magpadala sa pressure. I respect those who engage in those kind of things. I don’t think any less of them. But it’s a decision for them to make: look at the bigger picture, know the risk you are taking, and most importantly, value yourself.

You’re conservative but not to the extent of not drinking alcohol or posing for sexy pictorials?

I normally not (drink alcohol)… Yes, I did sexy pictorials before but it’s done tastefully. Although there are shots that when I look at it now, parang.. I did that pala. You can do mistakes and learn from them. Maybe next time, I want to have more creative control.

Saan yung parents mo ngayon?

My dad is in Australia. My mom nasa Sydney siya ngayon dahil nanganak yung Ate ko but she’ll come back. It’s actually my mom who is always with me most of the time.

Tapos ka ng Psychology, where do you intend to work?

Right now I haven’t really look deep into that lalo na sa Philippines, people are not so keen in going to psychiatrists. If ever, I’ll choose to work abroad depende on my showbiz career here. At least I know I always have an option.

Yung dati mong show, “Keep on Dancing” wala bang balak ang ABS-CBN ibalik yun?

Not that I know of. Dami kasing talent search ngayon siguro hindi muna. My last soap opera, yung “Kristine” series.

Di ba you’re supposed to leave ABS-CBN but you still opted to stay. Do you think it’s the right decision?

Oh yes, I’m very happy. I’m looking for longevity that will put me on top of the business and with ASAP alone, I know I’m very lucky.
