Barrita: Silotan sab ang customer sa prostitute

GIHINGUSGAN karon sa gobyerno ang pagpanalipod sa kababayen-an ilabi na sa mga batan-on o menor de edad nga di sila mabiktima sa human trafficking. Busa daghan nang mga establisimento nga gironda ug ang tagdumala ingon man ang gitawag nga mga “bugaw” gipasakaan og kaso sa paglapas sa Republic Act No. 9208, ang gitawag nga Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.

Bug-at ang silot niadtong nangakonbikto sa qualified trafficking kay moabot man kini sa life imprisonment kon pagkabilanggo sa tibuok kinabuhi ug multa gikan sa P2 milyunes ngadto sa P5 milyunes.

Unsa man kining human trafficking?

Gi-define kini sa Sec. 3 sa Republic Act No. 9208 nga nag-ingon:

Trafficking in persons refers to the recruitment, transportation, transfer or harboring, or receipt of persons with or without the victim’s consent or knowledge, within or across national borders by means of threat or use of force, or other forms of coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power or of position, taking advantage of the vulnerability of the person, or, the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person for the purpose of exploitation which includes at a minimum, the exploitation or the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labor or services, slavery, servitude or the removal or sale of organs.

The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of a child for the purpose of exploitation shall also be considered as “trafficking in persons” even if it does not involve any of the means set forth in the preceding paragraph.

Klaro kaayo nga ang tuyo mao ang sexual exploitation kon pagbaligya sa lawas sa biktima sa human trafficking. Lakip na sab ang pinugos nga pagtrabaho, involuntary servitude o pagtrabaho kay way ikabayad sa utang ug pangtangtang sa mga organo sa lawas aron ibaligya.

Gitawag usab nga human trafficking ang pag-recruit, pag-transport, pag-transfer, paghupot o pagdawat sa usa ka bata alang sa exploitation o pagpahimulos kaniya.

Wa kaayo mahisguti kon unsay mahitabo niadtong mga customer sa mga bitima sa human trafficking. Sa laktod, kadtong mogamit sa mga prostitute nga sa atong pinulongan gitawag nga pampam o burikat.

Sumala sa Sec. 11 sa maong balaod, kadtong tawo nga mopalit ug migamit sa serbisyo sa usa ka biktima sa human trafficking alang sa prostitution pahamtangan sa silot nga unom ka buwan nga community service segun sa mando sa hukmanan ug multa nga P50,000 sa unang pagkasala.

Sa ikaduha ug mosunod pa nga pagkasala, pahamtangan siya sa silot nga pagkabilanggo sud sa usa ka tuig ug multa nga P100,000.
