Giklaro niya nga di pangilad o gituyo ang paghatag og ginamit nga medalya sa mga midaug apan kini tungod nga pakyas ang suplayer nga mahatag ang medalya.
Mao kini ang pahayag ni Aportadera pinaagi sa pag-post og mensahe sa city goverment of Davao Facebook page niadtong Miyerkules, Agusto 16.
"We deeply apologize to the participants of the recently concluded Kadayawan Dragonboat Festival for the despair or anxiety brought by the failure of the local supplier to meet the event requirements.
Contrary to what is being widely perceived, there was no deliberate effort to deceive the winners and use recycled medals. The City Sports Development Office informed the coaches about the failure of the supplier to deliver the medals and that mock medals will be used for the pictorials. Likewise, the City Government also offered to deliver the correct medals and trophies to the winners after the event.
We have also undertaken necessary measures to avert such from happening again, one of which was to completely blacklist the erring supplier.
We honor the effort, the time, and the impressive preparations made by the participants to join in the event to celebrate Kadayawan 2017.
Again, we apologize and appeal for understanding.

Samtang bahin ni Organizer Rey Sumagaysay sa kalihukan nga dili tanang medalya kay ginamit ug una ang seremonya sa awarding giistorya na nila ang mga team manager nga may kulang medalya apan ilisan kini.
"Dili tanang medalya, for replacement sab tung nahatagan. Before the ceremony, giistorya namo daan ang mga team heads basin wala naabot sa uban miyembro ug dayon gi-post sa Facebook. On our part, we do our best and nahatag sab ang cash prize. Para sa amo, very successful ang event and we're happy na gihimo sa Davao. We will continue ipromote ang sports.
