Maasinhon Trio wins 'Pilipinas Got Talent' Season 3-A A +A

MAASINHON Trio's winning has been prophesied by "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 3 judge and television personality Kris Aquino during the semi-final round of the contest.
Last Sunday, everything happened as expected. Maasin City's singing sensation Maasinhon Trio bagged the grand prize.
The trio, who started humbly in their singing career as chorale members and singers during weddings and important gatherings in their home city in Southern Leyte, is now worth P2 million, after hitting it big in third season of the talent show.
The group is composed of Andrew Sanchez, Bonifacio Salubre and Licinio Lolo.
Back home, Salubre works as a fireman, Sanchez as an employee at Southern Leyte Electric Cooperative, and Lolo as an employee of the bids and awards committee of the Southern Leyte Provincial Government.
Their rendition of Basil Valdez's "Nais Ko" wowed the judges as well as the audience.
Declared as runners-up are Bringas Brothers of Davao del Sur and Khalil Ramos of Manila, who both received P100,000.
Other finalists received P50,000.
"Sobrang salamat sa Panginoon at sa pamilya namin. Salamat sa mga sumuporta sa amin, lalo na sa mga taga Southern Leyte," the trio said, thanking also of the opportunity given to them by the judges and supporters, particularly those back home and overseas. (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
