TACLOBAN CITY – Positive and service-oriented hospital employees are important rather than having a well structured facility that have employees who cannot perform their responsibility well, a board member said.
Leyte third district board member Bernard Joseph Remandaban made the statement relative to the present problem of hospitals located in his area of responsibility.
Board Member Remandaban, however, admitted that hospitals with a good ambiance and facilities could entice the workers to deliver quality public service.
He said the district and community hospitals in Baybay City, Hilongos, Tabango, Calubian, Villaba and Palompon are being given attention by the Provincial Government of Leyte, the representative and board members of the third district as well as by the chief executive of every municipality.
Remandaban agreed to an earlier statement of Representative Anlie Salvacion that some of the hospitals on their area need to be assisted by improving its infrastructures.
He added that the local government unit as well as the Department of Health in the region has allocated funds for the construction of additional buildings and purchase of laboratory facilities. (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
