THE Population Commission produced an adolescent health and youth development film entitled “Crossroads,” which is portrayed by artists under the direction of Charliebebs Gohetia.
Leo Rama, PopCom regional director, said the launching of the event was made possible last July 30 at Ritz tower de Leyte in cooperation with the Integral Media Inc., Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Education (DepEd) and some local government units (LGUs).
“The target audience of this film is the youths age 15-24 and some youth organizations. This is to make them aware of the consequences of pre-marital sex, as well as to protect their rights towards sexual behavior,” Rama added.
Moreover, he also said they are also planning to show the film to some universities, and will then have a forum supported by some local government unit representatives after the showing.
The film is played by artists like Felix Roco, Sue Parado, Aleeria Montalla, Mercedes Cabral and Joseph Bitangcol. Furthermore, the people behind the film hope to make this an effective campaign in educating the youth on adolescent health and development. (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
