Palo mayor files certificate papers for reelection bid

TACLOBAN CITY – The president of the League of Municipalities of Leyte (LMP) filed her certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Election (Comelec) Palo together with her entire slate.
“I am very excited to continue providing services that would benefit the people of my town…Serving them is my calling…,” Palo Mayor Remedios “Matin” Petilla said.
“We still have so many planned projects to be implemented here. And there is nothing like a big challenge than to improve Palo more,” Petilla added.
Her running mate is lawyer Ronan Reposar and the aspiring councilors are Wilson Uy, Junie Agner, Rey Lejarde, Myra Nalda, Jojo Chiquillo, Bunsoy Villas, Junjun Dolina and Ena Monge-Torres.
Outgoing Leyte Governor Jericho Petilla, gubernatorial candidate Leopoldo Dominico Petilla, vice gubernatorial candidate fifth district Board Member Carlo Loreto, Tacloban City mayoralty candidate Florencio “Bem” Noel, Baybay City reelectionist Mayor Carmen Cari with some of the Liberal Party candidates in other parts of Leyte joined the whole slate of Mayor Petilla in filing on her COC.
The incumbent mayor said the slate follows the slogan “Asya na ini, adi la gihapon kami.” (Leyte Samar Daily Express)
